My Philosophy
There are times when we all feel that there aren’t enough hours in the day or days in the week. Because of this, we have to
budget our time, and for many of us, time for ourselves is the first thing to get left out. We often take our health for granted. Only
until we have a problem do we then look to what we can do to get our health back. Well the old saying is true, “An ounce of
prevention is worth a pound of cure.” If we can force ourselves to be a little selfish now and take a little time out of each day to spend
on our own physical wellbeing, we will get back more than what we put in.
Exercise reduces the effects of stress so we can now handle pressure better. Exercise decreases depression helping us to feel
better, maybe even like we can take on the world. Exercise helps us to feel better about our self image so we are more confident.
Exercise burns calories so we can enjoy more of the foods we like, such as birthday cake. And since exercising on a regular basis helps
us live longer, there will be more birthday cakes to enjoy. And last but not least, you will no longer envy others for having the body
you want. Exercise helps you to achieve the body you’ve always wanted and then you can be the envy of others.
We all have days where we feel ourselves trying to come up with an excuse to blow off going to the gym, but if we make the effort and
the time to exercise now, it will pay off many fold later. Not just in how long we live but how much we enjoy life as well.
